Description
Mascarpone is an Italian product from Lombardy that is somewhere between cheese and cream. It is made from light (25%) cream, which is thickened by the addition of tartaric acid. It is a creamy and spreadable type of cheese. The best-known application is in the Italian dessert Tiramisu, but it also works well in risotto.
