Our sugar expert Jos Muyldermans has been searching for this specific organic cassonade basted cane sugar for almost 30 years. These new organic sugars are mixtures (blend) of different types of cane sugar originating from Paraguay, Brazil, Argentina and India. The origin mainly depends on the availability of the product. After transport to Europe, this sugar is mixed and sieved. After the sieving process, it is mixed again with organic cane sugar molasses and then packed at our place in Sint-Niklaas in compostable packaging. The only organic basted sugar on the market. What makes this organic cane sugar so unique? No other producer has been prepared to produce this type until today and our producer makes this cassonade in a unique artisanal way. Our cassonade is only produced with very finely sieved organic cane sugar and organic cane sugar molasses, but without the addition of caramel. This sugar still contains all the important nutritional components specific to the sugar cane and the high content of cane sugar molasses ensures a rich aroma. A real treat on pancakes!
