This bar is grown by the Awajun Indians. They live in the jungle of the Amazon rainforest in the north-east of Peru. With the income from this organic cocoa, the Awajun Indians can provide for their livelihood and are not forced to earn money by selling wood or cutting it for agriculture and livestock farming. This bar contributes to the preservation of the tropical rainforest and the development of sustainable cocoa cultivation. The bar is packed in greaseproof paper printed with organic ink. This chocolate is a fresh product. The bar has a shelf life of more than half a year, but we advise you to eat the bar within 3 months. Simply because the taste is better then.
